Red Star Equestrian Owners Adam and Kristin Taylor, Georgia and Alabama natives, are thrilled to offer their dream as a home away from home to their clients.  Adam who has been riding his entire life is a trained Firefighter in Dekalb County.  Instructor Kristin Taylor has been riding horses for over 20 years. She worked at the Lake Lanier Island Equestrian Center for 4 years teaching lessons and leading trail rides. During college she rode for the University of Georgia's Varsity Equestrian Team. She has also traveled the world on horseback adventures with trips to: Ireland, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, and Belize. In addition to horse training Kristin is the President and Co-Founder of Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, INC.  She has been actively rescuing dogs and cats for many years and enjoys letting her students meet and play with her latest foster dog.  Kristin also keeps a small group of pet chickens on the Red Star property and is enjoying the benefits of fresh eggs from happy hens, of which she shares with the many visitors of RSE.

Kristin's passion for horses and teaching allows students to achieve their personal goals. Riders will learn how to groom, tack and ride as if the horse was their own.

“My equestrian career began over 20 years ago when I started taking lessons at age 8. The experience garnered from years of riding with the University of Georgia’s Equestrian Team really allowed me to grow personally and professionally. After graduation my focus has been to build confidence and skill in all of my students utilizing different ideas such as patterns (dressage), obstacles, yoga, flexibility, core strength, understanding the horse, and encouraging goals to set the stage for success. I have continued my education by taking lessons with local well known instructors in many different disciplines and by studying training methods by well
known trainers in order to become the best instructor I can be.”
